Frugality Is an Attitude

Frugality is a perspective from which guerrillas approach every spending decision, to look beyond the easy, expensive solutions to problems, for more creative, low-cost answers.  It is an attitude that is cultivated slowly, over time.  A large part of saving money is getting in the habit of doing things inexpensively.

This book will help you save money on specific items, but the most crucial lessons to learn are the philosophy of frugality and the importance of applying it in your home-based business.  This chapter covers some of the principles of thrift so that you can understand the rationale behind our cost-cutting methods.  Elsewhere in the book we have focused on the expenses most home-based businesses have in common, such as office supplies, but because every business is different, it is vital to use these principles to begin examining your own circumstances to determine where you can start saving some hard-earned cash.

“You need to remember that frugal doesn’t equal cheap.”
